Staying at the Red Lion, Dittisham, means you are well placed to enjoy the attractions of the surrounding region.  Just across the Dart is Agatha Christie's beautiful holiday home of Greenaway, now owned by the national Trust.  To the north is the Dartmoor National Park, while to the south - and just a ferry-ride down the river - is the historic and picturesque town of Dartmouth.

Two steam railways still run near-by, while further afield, the National Maritime Aquarium in Plymouth, and the Eden project are easy say excursions.  Numerous beaches are easily accessible, while there are no less than four gold courses in easy reach.

South Hams is also perfect walking country and is popular with walkers, ramblers and rambling associations.
